Here’s what I’ve noticed after being in the coaching space for over 20 years.
Many coaches say they want more clients, more income, they want to hit six figures… And yet… they quietly avoid launching.
Not because they don’t care about their work or they’re lazy. But because for many coaches, the word itself brings up tension.
They picture pressure. Big promises. Endless emails. Deadlines.
The truth is, launching asks you to take a visible stand. To say:
“This is my work. This is who I help. This is the change I believe is possible.”
That level of clarity and visibility can feel vulnerable.
What if no one signs up?
What if people judge me?
What if I’m not ready yet?
So it feels safer to continue tweaking the program. Redesigning the website. Or even taking another certification.
And this might be useful… But none of this replaces the power of a real enrollment moment.
In the video I share how I approached this when I first started my business. Before I had a big list, a complicated funnel, or even thought of what I was doing as a “launch” and why so many coaches avoid launching their programs in the first place.
When I first started my business, I didn’t have a big list or a complicated funnel.
What I did have was an idea. I created a paid telesummit and invited people into it.
Over 100 people signed up at $197 to $497. At the time, I didn’t even call it a launch.
I was simply inviting people into something I created.
But looking back… that was my first launch. And it changed everything.
Because I saw what happens when you create a moment where people can say yes.
A launch is not just a marketing event. It’s a container for decision.
Without a container, many potential clients remain in a kind of emotional limbo.
They are interested, and curious and even inspired.
But they don’t move. They don’t take action. They don’t enroll.
Because change requires a moment of commitment.
And launching creates that moment.
It allows them to say:
“Yes. Now is the time.”
In this way, launching is less about selling and more about leadership, and coaching them to a decision.
Somewhere along the way, launching got overcomplicated.
People think they need:
A huge list.
A million moving parts.
But that’s not how I built my business.
And it’s not what I teach.
Launching can be simple. Creative. Fun.
It can look like storytelling, or guiding people through a realization, helping them see what’s possible.
So if you’ve been avoiding launching, you’ve been missing the opportunity to create visibility around your most important message and then watch a group of people come together around a shared transformation.
It’s less about pressure and more about possibility. And when launching feels aligned, it becomes a natural part of how your coaching business grows.
I am a former music teacher and until I started my business, I had never even tried marketing myself. But I absolutely love launches because to me it’s an adventure in creativity. I even turned into a game.
The Launch Game is The First Gamified Launch System for Coaches and Creators. It’s a card game that allows you to design your launch in minutes instead of weeks or months.
