Fear of Competition is Real

by

In the early years of my business, if I saw a topic already covered by someone else, I would almost instantly dismiss it as something I shouldn’t teach or create.

I thrive on the idea of innovation and progress.

Why would people buy from me when someone else is already offering it?

As it turned out, people wanted to hear MY perspective. My story, my teaching style, and my take on the subject.

Over the years, I learned that if a topic is being covered elsewhere, it may actually be a sign that people want to learn more about it and that it shouldn’t stop me from creating a training of my own.

Usually, my program turns out to be very different: simpler, shorter, and more structured.

So as you think about your own style, what makes your approach different?

If 10 other people taught your topic, how would YOUR spin be different?
