I always talk about staying in your comfort zone being a good thing, because to me it just means it’s well-aligned with your natural skills and abilities, and most likely you’ll get great results.
But being scared isn’t necessarily a sign that you shouldn’t do it.
As long as you’re both scared AND excited at the same time.
I’ve been in business for 20+ years, so I understand marketing and sales. I know what it takes to create a bestselling product or program, how to get clients, and how to fill a group.
But growing a software company is a whole different animal.
Coaching Genie is a little over 3 years old and I personally feel it’s the greatest thing since sliced bread! Any coach who offers programs and isn’t using it is probably struggling trying to piecemeal everything together, overcomplicating their tech and wasting a lot of time.
So why did I just join a mentoring program for software builders?
Because my experience of selling coaching programs isn’t relevant enough to successfully grow a software company. Working with a mentor who understands the specifics and has years of experience helping software companies grow is exactly what I need now.
And yes, I am scared.
And yes, the mentor is expensive.
But I am also super excited to learn what I don’t know and what’s been missing from my growth strategy.
Is there something you’ve been both scared and excited about that could take you to the next level in your business?
